Reed Fish & Meat Preservation & Oil Absorbing Paper
Reed paper is Japan's standard and top choice for both professional and at-home use when it comes to oil-absorbing paper towels. Made with long tiny hairs of natural pulp, it absorbs (more than) twice as much oil as the average paper towel in Japan. Use it for draining oil after frying, filtering frying oil or dashi stock, storing sashimi or other raw meats and seafood to preserve its freshness, wiping excess moisture off foods, or cleaning oily kitchen surfaces.
You can even steam vegetables by wrapping them in some reed paper dampened with a little bit of water and heating them in the microwave for a short amount of time.
