Otafuku Okonomiyaki Flour makes it easy for anyone to prepare okonomiyaki at home. This flour mix includes kombu dashi for added umami. The dashi uses aromatic Hidaka kelp from Hokkaido and the high-grade sweet Donan kelp.
Okonomiyaki is a popular griddled savory pancake dish well known for the regional versions from Osaka and Hiroshima. The name is derived from Okonomi which means as you like and yaki or grilled. The most traditional protein used in the dish is thinly sliced pork topped with ao nori seaweed, dried bonito flakes, sauce, and mayo but there are no hard rules as the name implies, you can add or top with anything you like!
Simply add water and egg to the flour to create the okonomiyaki batter. Mix in cabbage and add your favorite meats (we recommend sliced pork belly) and vegetables. Top with Otafuku Vegan Okonomiyaki Sauce, Kewpie mayonnaise, and Ao-Nori Dried Green Seaweed Flake
