Yukishino Moss White Tonsui Bowl 5 fl oz / 4.8" dia
The Yukishino series ceramics are a Mino-style ware from Gifu prefecture. Mino ware is one of the most famous types of Japanese pottery, with over 400 years of history. These ceramics are thick and sturdy, with a rustic design. The first layer has an Oribe green glaze (moss green), and they are then finished with multiple layers of random strokes, creating unique patterns that resemble snowflakes.
A tonsui is typically used to serve as the dipping sauce for tempura or as a serving bowl for a Japanese hot pot (nabe).
