Kanayama Yukiguni White x Matte Brown Rice Bowl Chawan 12 fl oz / 4.9" dia
"Yukiguni" (Snow Country) by Tsugaru Kanayama-yaki is a ceramic series characterized by a smooth, snow-white texture, achieved with a white glaze made from rice-straw ash from Aomori Prefecture.
While Kanayama-yaki typically employs the *yakishime* (unglazed, high-fired) technique, the "Yukiguni" series incorporates this rice-straw ash glaze, creating a beautiful contrast between the soft white finish and the earthy texture characteristic of *yakishime* ware.
This size bowl is perfect for serving rice alongside miso soup, but it also works well for appetizers, hearty soup, or desserts.

The pottery is brought to a high temperature of 2462°F, creating a natural and unique pattern on the surface for each piece of pottery.
