Takaokaya Masuda-en Genmai-cha Green Tea with Matcha 2.2 lbs (1kg)
Genmaicha is traditionally served in a tea ceremony, where both parties prepared and enjoyed Matcha tea in a formal setting. Today, we enjoy Genmaicha in a much more casual manner. Initially, it was referred to as brown rice tea or popcorn tea as it was often roasted with brown rice and at times a few grains would pop during the roasting process. Though there aren"t any more rice grains in Genmaicha, it continues to be enjoyed both casually and traditionally.
