Hasegawa Pro-PE Lite Black Soft Polyethylene Wood Core Cutting Board FPEL 15.4" x 10.2" x 0.7" ht
Description
The Hasegawa Pro-PE Lite Black Soft Polyethylene Wood Core Cutting Board (FPEL) is designed with a slightly harder surface than our Soft Rubber Cutting Board, making it better suited for general kitchen tasks such as slicing vegetables, meats, and fish. However, like all soft cutting boards, it prioritizes the preservation of your knife edges over extreme durability, making it ideal for gentle slicing rather than heavy-duty chopping or cutting hard items like frozen foods.
While harder than the Soft Rubber Cutting Board, the FPEL model still offers a softer surface compared to standard plastic boards, ensuring your knives remain sharp while providing a hygienic and easy-to-clean cutting surface. The board is made from a blend of three polyethylenes and incorporates antibacterial agents certified by the Japan Antibacterial Products Association, offering enhanced hygiene.
For more delicate tasks, such as slicing, and fine cuts, or when you prefer a softer surface to protect against blunt strikes, we recommend our Soft Rubber Cutting Board. It provides an even gentler surface, ideal for precise knife work like sushi and sashimi preparation.
Please note that this board is not intended for use with serrated knives or tasks requiring heavy pressure, as these can lead to deeper cuts and excessive wear on the surface.
