Cooking Instructions
COOKED RICE - MAKES 6 CUPS
- In a 4-quart saucepan, add 3 cups of rice. Add cold water, rinse the rice by swirling water, and drain. Repeat 4 to 5 times until water runs clear. Drain well.
- Add 3 cups of cold water and let it stand for 15 to 30 minutes.
- Cover the pot with a tight-fitting lid and bring to a full hard boil (it is recommended to boil rice at 212°F for 5 minutes).
- Reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes. DO NOT remove the lid during cooking. When done, remove the pot from the heat source, fluff the rice, and leave covered for additional 10 minutes.
