Wa-Panko is gluten-free, trans fat-free, additive-free, and halal-certified. Manufactured in Japan, this panko is made from Japanese rice and soy pulp powder. Compared to traditional wheat panko it can reduce oil absorption by 40%. The addition of soy pulp makes the dietary fiber content in the Wa-Panko Soy Mix 4.3 times and contains 30% less sugar.
Wa-Panko can be used interchangeably with traditional wheat panko for a wide variety of dishes. Swap Wa-Panko into fried dishes such as cutlets, and croquettes; oven-baked dishes such as gratin dishes and rice casseroles; and use as a binder in hamburger steaks, jiaozi dumplings, and meatballs.
